WHO Warns Gaza Faces Severe Public Health Crisis Ahead of Rainy Season
World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a warning that the imminent rainy season will cause a severe public health problem due to the contamination of water sources that is expected to increase three times compared to what was reported in March, while there is a rise in the number of patients suffering from acute diarrhea twice. The Israeli attacks and blockade of Gaza Strip resulted in the destruction of about 90% of water and sanitation facilities in addition to lack of shelter for displaced persons.
